Hollywood wants to suspend players from Twitter and Facebook

The major Hollywood studios have begun to restrict by contract the use of virtual services like Twitter and Facebook among his actors to prevent leaks about the film, told U.S. media outlets, on Monday (19).

According to sources, DreamWorks and Disney were the first to include specific clauses in actors' contracts in which it requires the commitment of the signatories not to disclose the progress of their work through the various media platforms available on the Internet.

Stars like Cameron Diaz and Mike Myers have already pledged to silence their Twitter accounts because the next film in the saga of the animation Shrek, which will feature the voice work in English.

Internet use by celebrities has caused discomfort to American television stations. One of the best known cases was the announcement of the singer Paula Abdul via Twitter that let the jury of American Idol.
